Baby Massage Benefits

Massage is one way you can provide your children with a relaxing, joyful experience which can last a lifetime.

The bond between parent and baby can be enhanced over time by the practice of infant massage.

The sense of touch is one of the earliest developed and most fundamental functions of the body.

Couldn’t recommend this baby massage class in Haddington enough. The class set up is lovely in Philli’s gorgeous house and not only do you learn fabulous baby massage in a peaceful tranquil setting (think chilling music, neals yard smellies and  fire) Philli provides the perfect atmosphere to facilitate good mummy chat and get to know each other and on top of that she provides home baking and a cup of tea while we all do so. It’s a perfect mix of bonding with your baby, learning a new skill, social interaction with other mummies and relaxation time for us busy mums. If you’re thinking of booking, don’t think any more. Just book!

A perfect way to begin the week! Percy and I have loved the 5 week baby massage course so much that we’ve signed up for the next level. The massage is taught exceedingly well by the charming Philli (the babies all seem to love it) but that’s not all.... you enjoy delicious home made cakes and coffee and have great discussion and other bits and bobs along the way. Can’t recommend more highly - a very positive, relaxed and jolly activity to do with your baby!

I look forward to baby massage every week! Philli has created a lovely space for both parents and babies to relax and connect. She is an excellent teacher and after completing the 5 week introductory course Niamh and I are loving the follow on classes. These provide an opportunity to practice massage, but also include movement, stories and play for the babies, along with tea and cake for us. I find the classes very nurturing for Niamh and myself as Philli encourages us to reflect and chat about our experiences of being parents.

Baby Massage Classes

My baby massage classes are designed for parents who want to learn and practice an in-depth full body baby massage routine.  It involves principles of Indian massage, Swedish massage, reflexology and yoga. Helping relax and soothe baby. The 5 week course follows the IAIM Baby Massage Course structure.

I aim to offer something for the whole family; that dads, grandparents and other family members can also attend and enjoy. I want it to be a welcoming, nurturing environment. Where you feel comfortable to enjoy time together with your baby and meet others over homemade cake, a chat and a cup of coffee.

”Being touched and caressed, being massaged, is food for the infant; food as necessary as minerals, vitamins, and proteins.”
