Hello, I'm Allison of Massage Matters, welcome to my website. I work from a dedicated massage therapy space in Larbert, Central Scotland.
I am fully aware of how the pressures of daily life can affect a person’s physical and mental well-being – whether that’s in a sporting or competitive environment or just as a result of the stresses and strains of day-to-day living.
During an initial consultation, we will discuss what you would like to get out of the treatment, whether that be purely a relaxing massage or working on an issue that you may have.
I aim to provide a professional, effective and client-centred service with treatments that are tailored, specifically, to their individual needs – after all – no two clients are the same – so why would their treatments be? So whether you are looking for a relaxing massage or you have a specific issue which is causing you pain and discomfort, get in touch. You can book appointments by using the online booking system or by messaging me for a chat using one of the contact methods below.
I'm a graduate of the Western School of Massage in Glasgow, the only massage school in the UK that has a university accredited qualification. As a fully qualified massage therapist I can offer Massage, Hot Stones Massage and On Site Seated Acupressure massage. I am also a member of the Scottish Manual Therapist Organisation (SMTO).
I have been involved in sports and mainly athletics for over 40 years initially as an athlete and then moving onto becoming a level 2 British Athletics Coach.
I am passionate about health and fitness and trained as a massage therapist after realising the benefits of massage and how I could help and support others in their own health and fitness journey. I am committed to continuous development always looking to develop new skills and techniques.

Businesses are now taking Employee Wellbeing more seriously. What better way to treat your employees than to offer them a seated acupressure massage in the workplace. I can attend your workplace and deliver 15 min massages to employees. This doesn't involve, oil or wax and is done fully clothed. To give your employees a real boost, message me using one of the methods below for more details.
Please reach us at one of the contact options below if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Your initial appointment will be around 10/15 mins longer as you will be asked to complete a one off consultation form. Don't worry that won't impact your massage treatment time. We will then chat about what you want to get out of your treatment and any areas that you would like me to focus more on. I will then talk you through my recommendations and once agreed we will begin the treatment.
This depends on what type of massage you are booked in. Most massages will require you to remove your clothes down to your underwear. Sports bras are not ideal if having a full body massage as they will have to be fully removed, whereas bras can be unfastened at the back. If your having a massage on your legs, loose sports shorts are ideal.
Yes there will be free parking available directly outside, details will be sent to you upon booking.
