Over the course we cover:

  • Learning baby-led massage strokes for your baby’s legs, feet, stomach, chest, arms, hands, face and back.
  • A short routine to relieve colic, wind and constipation
  • Gentle Movements, based on the principals of Yoga
  • Time for reflection and discussion around a variety of related topics. These include oils, best time for massage, the growing child, listening to babies and calming.​
  • Meet new friends and have a chat over home baked cake!
  • The opportunity to take time-out, unwind and spend quality-time with your baby.

Description

Baby massage provides a wonderful, nurturing experience for both you and your baby whilst offering a unique way for you to communicate with your little one through touch and eye contact.

Massage Matters baby massage classes offer a warm, welcoming and tranquil space for you and your baby to relax. You will also unwind and spend quality-focused time together, whilst learning a life-long parenting skill that you can do anywhere, at any time.

The baby massage benefits for both baby and parents are numerous with bonding, communication, health and getting a good night’s sleep all cited as positive outcomes of baby massage.

​Courses are held over five consecutive weekly 90-minutes classes, and designed for babies from birth to crawling. You will learn a multi-integrated full-body baby massage routine incorporating Indian and Swedish massage traditions. It also includes principles from yoga and reflexology to promote interaction, stimulation, relaxation and relief.

To ensure a imitate class, there is a maximum of 8 and a minimum of 3 mums. The classes are held in my home in Haddington, East Lothian.
